Unit: Per Diem - RN - Emergency Room (Nights) Colton, CA
Shift: P/D*Min 6 Shift/M*Nights 7p-7a -- must be available to work weekdays & weekends (Weekends: As needed).
RN may float to other Units to assist if needed
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Write initial nursing histories, assess patients' conditions, develop individual care plans, and evaluate outcomes of patient care according to accepted standards of practice; consult with other specialists as required and adjust nursing care process as necessary.
Document patient care from admission through discharge incorporating the Nursing Process.
Administer and document medications with a thorough knowledge of types, dosages, drug interactions and incompatibilities.
Practice safety measures in all activities associated with patient care.
Support the mission and vision of ARMC.
Consistently practice excellent customer service.
Teach, delegate, and direct both professional and non-professional nursing staff and interpret the needs of each patient to all persons participating in patient care.
Maintain current knowledge relating to new developments and therapeutic measures for total patient care.
Participate in the development of nursing policies and procedures and Quality Assurance activities. Follow all Nursing Departmental and Administrative Operations manual policies and procedures.
Serve as patient advocate.
Attend department in-services and staff development programs.
Initiate emergency measures such as Code Blue and Code Red.
Maintain and protect all patients rights to privacy and confidentiality.
Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
Active and current California State License
2+ years of current ER experience - Required
EPIC experience - strongly preferred
Previous travel - strongly encouraged at LEAST 1 year of straight FTE in an Acute Hospital/Medical Center- required
At least ONE supervisor reference needed in order to be submitted for this position (2nd reference will be obtained during onboarding)
COVID Vaccination card w/ booster, if applicable
