Job Overview:
RNFA is a highly trained RN who must have both a CNOR certification and have completed an RNFA program which is offered through a college or university. Collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. Practices perioperative nursing and must have acquired the necessary knowledge, skill & judgment specific to clinical practice in the operating room and in the RNFA role. Practices in collaboration with and at the direction of the surgeon in the operative phase of the perioperative experience. Performs duties of OR staff RN when not assigned in RNFA role. NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course. Robotic surgery experience preferred. Proficient in perioperative nursing practice-preferred scrubbing and circulating experience. NO COVID Vaccine Required.
ESTIMATED TRAVL PACKAGE:
Gross Weekly Pay: $3435
Weekly Stipend: $1232.00 ($483.00/Weekly Meal+$749.00/Weekly Lodging)
LOCAL PAY:
$97.50/hour
SHIFT:
Rotating Shifts3x12.0;
Schedule: 8/10/12 hour shifts.
No weekends but will have evening call and rotating holiday requirements.
Job Requirements:
RN License (NY License ONLY)
Davinci Experience Required
CNOR Required
Two (2) years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma preferred
Able to scrub and circulate preferred.
Certification(s):
BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
ACLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY)
CNOR Certification
Unit:
SMH Level 4 RN OR RNFA
Combined Circ/Scrub and RNFA role.
