Compensation:
$30.39/hr. Min to $45.00/hr. Max (W2 Rate)
CMEA - USD:Â $500.00/Yr.
Work Schedule:
Sunday through Saturday, 12 and 8 hr. shifts, between 7PM to 7:30AM
Work some weekends
Work some holidays
Job Specific Position Duties:Â The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Core Duties:
Perform monitoring of 500 to 950 triage patients per month, including continuous fetal monitoring, spontaneous rupture of membrane check, labor check, prolonged monitoring, rule out pre-term labor, decreased fetal movement, and Pregnancy Induced Hypertension.
Perform monitoring of 210 inpatients per month, including continuous fetal monitoring, vital signs and assessment q15-60min and labor checks/cervical exams.
Provide management of Pregnancy Induced Hypertension patients.
Provide intravenous management (fluids, Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antibiotics and insulin).
Perform lab draws.
Provide pain management (monitor patient status on continuous laboring epidurals, intravenous narcotics, and emotional support).
Assist the provider with inductions.
Perform vaginal delivery procedures (pushing, delivery, recovery, etc.).
Assist the provider with operative vaginal delivery procedures.
Perform pre-op for C-sections.
Perform procedures for transition of normal newborn (NRP as needed, bath, shots, assessment, breastfeeding assistance).
Provide stabilization for transport of high-risk patients.
Provide patient/family teaching.
Support C-section deliveries as circulating nurse in the OR.
Provide post anesthesia care for patients who have received epidural, spinal or general anesthesia.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Possess a Associates Degree in Nursing, from an accredited agency such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). As an alternative to the education requirements in the basic contract, the HCW may be a graduate of a state accredited professional nursing program OR a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
Experience: Must have at least 1 year experience in the past five years in a Labor and Delivery Unit.Â
Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license from any state.
Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARCÂ BLS/ACLS certifications. Must have a NRP certificate.Â
Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
